Today was a very eventful day. We were up bright and early for biscuits with butter and jam, a type of powdered donuts with yellow cream, slices of ham and cheese, and slices of apples and bananas. After breakfast, we headed to our first school in Temuco. When we arrived, we socialized with the students and participated in their worship and prayer meeting called “Coffee and Faith.” We broke off into small groups and spoke to several high school and elementary classes. We gifted them the gospel bracelets that we made last night, and explained the importance of salvation and spiritual growth.

As we were heading to the school this morning, I read Psalm 31:23-24, which says, “O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.” These two verses encouraged me when I was uncertain of what I should say. God is faithful to give you the words to say if you call upon His name for help. He is enough.

Around noon, we headed to Seminario Biblico Guillermo Strong, a seminary in Temuco, to eat a delicious meal prepared by their staff and students. After fellowshipping with the seminary students, we visited a train museum and art gallery, then drove two hours back to camp. We ate a yummy dinner prepared by the camp staff. Finally, we closed out the night by making a few more gospel bracelets and practicing what we are going to teach in the new schools that we plan to visit tomorrow.
