Today was the first day we actually got to sleep in! After an entire week of heading out to the schools early, the extra sleep was much appreciated. That extra energy we gained was put to work immediately after breakfast as we began cleaning up around camp and preparing for the day’s youth activity. We moved rocks, raked leaves, and shoveled dirt.

A delicious lunch with traditional Chilean ice cream was provided for us and we were more than ready for the nights youth activities, which started in the late afternoon. These activities included: intense games of ping pong, carpet ball, volleyball, and the “cup” game with candy to break the ice. Following the games, everyone joined together for a song service and we were blessed by the preaching of one of our team members, Samuel.

After the message, everyone ate dinner and continued playing games together. We finished the night with a campfire where we all shared our favorite experiences of the week and how we could improve future missions trips.
